Kübra Bagci is a fiber artist based in Berlin whose practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of ornamental elements such as lace, ruffles and especially fringes. These components, often dismissed as mere decoration, are central to her work not only for their aesthetic value but for their metaphorical weight. Fringes, particularly those found at the edges of carpets, inspire her most. She associates them with transitions, with the beginnings and ends that mark a life.

Bagci's work lies at the intersection of fiber art and conceptual exploration. She seeks to develop a new visual language in which textile ornaments are not only embellishments but also bearers of memory, emotion and meaning.
